At our McDonough, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Went to this location for dinner. I wanted to eat in but the restaurant was dirty, drink machine had juice splatted all over it, and it was cold in the dinning area. However, the food was great! Hot, fresh, and plentiful. I got the grilled fish with skewers and a crab cake on the side (they were out of hush puppies ). Everything was delicious. Only suggestion would be to clean the place to make it more appeasing.
First, I love Captain D's and was excited when this location opened. I have not been disappointed. Tonight, had a hankering for fish and ordered an online 10 piece special for $25.99. Went in, rather than drive through and not sure if manager or cashier but she was SUPER. Polite, professional, personable. What more could you ask. Oh yeah. Fish was spot on. Baked potatoes (upcharge) super and worth extra $3.69 for 4.
April 29 2025. My son and I went there in about dinner. This is absolutely the best captain d's.I have had in a very, very long time.They did an excellent job.
The best Captain D's food I've had. Crazy that it's just fast food but this was perfectly cooked. The chicken tenders were a little on the small side but that would be my only complaint. Facility was clean and service was quick. A little odd to get to but worth it.
