The food was decent, especially for fast food! The okra was very good! The fish was OK. The shrimp was a little overcooked but still decent. The hush puppies were good! The mac & cheese was good! The crab was OK.
I stopped by this Captain D’s on 3/9/26 at 8pm and had one of the most disappointing visits I’ve ever experienced. The food that was served to me was completely burned—far past anything that should ever leave a kitchen. It wasn’t just overcooked; it was charred to the point that it was inedible. It’s frustrating to spend money on a meal only to receive something that clearly should have been thrown out instead of served. I don’t eat here often because they’re kind of pricey and the prices have gone up even more since my last visit but the lemon pepper grilled fish was delicious. My whole meal was perfect
