At our Madison, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The staff was very courteous and helpful! The food was fresh and far better than I expected! I had a great experience!
Today, I was really looking forward to enjoying some of Captain D’s famous hush puppies. I went through the drive-thru to pick up my order, excited to dig in. However, when I got home and opened the box, I was shocked to find a strand of hair in almost every single hush puppy. It was absolutely disgusting, as if the hair had been fried into the food. How is this place still open I walked in go to wash my hands ZERO soap Not even one single soap dispenser around As I’m sitting for my food I see an employee come out of the restroom (a cook) and goes straight to kitchen Now I know he didn’t wash his hands with SOAP because there isn’t any! Employees are half asleep No good customer service Need better training or just close down If you come here BYOS (Bring your own sanitizer!)
They were so pleasant, really great and fast and the food was delicious!
The fried oysters was bad they still had mud in them me and my wife will not eat there no more
