At our Florence, KY location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Surprisingly, the best cheese sticks in all of Northern Kentucky, especially when paired with their honey mustard… also the whole menu in general is great food…
This place took our order, and gave us something different. We ordered the lobster bites, fish, & shrimp, but received lobster bites, & what tasted like chicken. The one who took our order, was impatient waiting on us..
My family and I usually have a good meal hear. But Saturday evening was terrible. Male who took order was rude and the guy who was making the food was eating ff while cooking /serving the food. And when we received the food it was all cold. We won't go back. Very disappointed ☹️
