Gave them a second chance. Was far worse on their second chance. Fish was cold, refrigerator cold. Fried okra was not warm at all. I ordered Cole slaw and paid for a side of fried ocra. No Cole slaw. Not even going to mention the hush puppies (cold and stale). They seem to be a couple of days old. Called Capt. D's. Hateful girl i spoke with said she would give me a side of Cole slaw but I would have to go to pick it up. Service was great and atmosphere was good as it was casual Sunday. I purchased the grilled fish and it was awful, very bland and Luke warm didn't taste freshly made , don't think it was worth $11 usd so I'm afraid this has dropped to last place on my favorites list.
The manager destiny was a delight and all food was cooked well.
We had a really pleasant experience overall The receptionist, Desiree, was incredibly cheerful, kind, and very helpful from the moment we arrived. She even brought our meal to us, which was a nice personal touch and made us feel very welcome. The sweet, positive manager (whose name escapes me! Tinted hair) of this location deserves all the accolades, raises & rewards, Insurance! this company/ franchaise has to to offer. She treats her guests & employees like family. *lots of regulars. I'm sure she spearheads the year round holiday decor & special attention to our vets.
