At our Shelbyville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

They have the best fish in town!!! It’s not like goin to the beach and getting fresh seafood, but it’s close enough!!!
My family and I have dined in here previously and they provided great service, the food was hot, delicious and everything was great but tonight we went through the drive through... Every thing we ordered came out wrong. Some of the fish was OLD, should have been thrown out hours ago. All the shrimp was almost entirely COLD. My mom even got a tartar sauce that was BAD. The chicken was the only thing that was good. Overall... Disappointed.
Yummy relaxed atmosphere
pretty good food. place could be a little cleaner with a better service staff... but the food never really disappoints.
