Stopped by the pickup lunch for an impromptu picnic in the park. Tried the catfish dinner and the kid's chicken and kid's popcorn shrimp. The fish was well-cooked and seasoned as we're the chicken and shrimp. The breading was light as was the batter on the chicken. A little thicker on the shrimp. Dang where do I start? June 13, 2026 3:30pm This Captain d's in Madison Indiana was the Nastiest, Dirtiest Caption D's we've ever seen. Food all over the floor, tables etc looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a long time, but with 10 people working and one other customer besides us who the hell has time??? I mean the girl did come out and got a couple trays by the trash can. What more do we expect with the pay they're making and not doing crap but play around on their phones. They changed their fish and it doesn't even taste like fish. It's terrible. What a shame. Update: What a ridiculous response from Captain D's. It isn't about market availability of decent fish. It's about buying garbage fish and then trying to get the same price for it. That is the worst tasting "fish" I have ever put in my mouth. There really is no excuse for serving something like that.
