At our Ozark, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Food is really good and very well priced. Can't see why more people don't eat here. I love it.
I stopped by at this Captain D's to utilize their restroom. I decided to try their two piece fish and fries for $5.99 and I was indescribably pleased that they cooked everything fresh!! The lunch was cooked perfectly. No grease at all on the fish or French fries!! I do not mind waiting a few minutes for fresh fried foods. I am happy that I tried this restaurant for lunch today!! 16 May 2025
