Fantastic day on the water in the Zodiac! It was tres chilly and the marine layer was in full affect most of the journey. Capt. Marie is so very skilled and truly tried tirelessly to find dolphins and whales, etc. She is very skilled and safety minded as a captain & professional at the helm. Her smart and knowledgable mate made it fun too. I almost didn't go bc I was nervous about the very thick fog, aka marine layer, but it was awesome and calm and never once did I feel nervous. We were given a free voucher for a future tri... read more

5 Stars Had an amazing time with Capt. Dave's Dana Point Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari! The trip started off a bit foggy, but after about 20 minutes out from the coast, the skies cleared up and it turned into a beautiful day on the water. We saw a huge pod of bottlenose dolphins and tons of common dolphins swimming and playing near the boat—it was absolutely magical! The entire crew was incredible and very knowledgeable of the marine life! Everyone was so friendly and truly made the experience unforgettable. Highly recomm... read more

We have gone on several of Capitan Dave's trips and we don't always see whales, but almost always there are dolphins. Today was a monster pod of Common Dolphins I estimated in the hundreds lots of hundreds

Though we didn’t see any whales today we ran into 400 or so dolphins in a stampede. We’ve never experienced such an amazing sight. Words can’t describe watching them fly through the wave. My pictures can do justice to the experience. You just have to be there. Captain Marie was excellent too!
