This is a unique old Florida experience. You have to take a boat to get there. The menu is limited with mostly fish. We all liked the crab cakes and the hearts of palm salad but the fish was ok at best. The key lime pie was clearly homemade and nice and tart. The prices are high for what you get.
The ratings I gave says it all. Just horrible. The crab cake had a terrible aftertaste and I don’t know what that hearts of palm salad was. More like hearts of mayo. Overcooked seafood, chewy scallops and dried out white fish. So expensive too! We did have a great waiter.
We love going to Cap's Place! It is the real deal with great food, amazing service (ask for Melissa) and adventure. Lot's of storytelling and history too!

Went as a walk in for a Saturday. Had about an hour wait but worth it! Delicious food and amazing staff who keep you entertained! Will advise others to always ask what’s in the dish though! I did not ask and sadly had a lactose intolerance flare up. So always ask so they can cater to you to avoid foods you can’t have!
