They increased our house insurance premiums by 20% year over year, which was an additional $500 in our case. Rather than prefacing our renewal reminder email with a proactive explanation for the increase, they simply instructed us to pay our premiums which, according to their math, was only an additional $48 per year because they added cyber security to the policy. $48 is a far cry from $500 and, in my opinion, an attempt to feign transparency while drawing attention away from their bloated premiums. Had to deal with a strata inquiry about a claim in my mother’s unit and I was passed off to Roz Dickett. It took me many times to get a hold of her and when I finally did, she was very abrupt with her response. It felt like I was being a burden to ask questions about my strata and she is the client executive for my building so I didn’t know who else to ask but my property manager who also directed me to her. Very frustrating experience and I will be pushing council to change companies.
