When Vince Izzo arrived in Calgary from Pietramelara, Italy, in 1968, a good espresso was difficult to find here. Vince saw a caffeine-deprived opportunity, and in 1974, started a business importing Italian espresso machines. He spoke with coffee importers in Toronto and developed his own blend of beans, labelling them with his Cappuccino King brand. Quoted one price for an inspection on a machine. Charged another. I explained everything, make, model and use of machine. Tried charging 30% more than quoted. Don't waste your time. REPLY - It was an Inspection on machine that was dropped off. Not a purchase.
The owner is a pain to work with. Will not be coming back.
Cappucino king and its staff are a Calgary gem. A few other favourite Calgary stalwarts come to mind. Bow Cycle, The Italian Supermarket. Problem solvers and true customer service.
Hardy and the whole team was great in the repair of my izzo Vivi. Working like new after a few part changes. Great store and service.
