On Sunday, April 30, 2023 Cappella Cantorum presented their 53rd Spring Concert. They performed "Zadok the Priest" by George Frederick Handel, Johannes Brahms" "How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place" and his "Alto Rhapsody", and finished with Edgar Elgar's "The Music Makers". Every piece was beautiful, but the Elgar piece went beyond beautiful to stirring! The orchestra had driving melodies and dramatic timpani sections that challenged the chorus to maintain the tempos.
