I had the most fun surfing lessons with Capitola Surf and Paddle! My friend and I were beginners but we were both able to stand on our first lessons :) Neil is an amazing instructor, especially for beginners. Learned about ocean safety, surf etiquette and good technique in addition to surfing. Definitely coming back!
Neil was fantastic. He was fun and patient. He was excellent at teaching my 11 year old son, 7 year old daughter and myself the basics of surfing. He modeled the mechanics and gave us helpful feedback on our attempts to try what he taught. He was great with my kids and had a good balance of safety, knowledge, and patience. I've been taking group and private lessons at Capitola Surf and Paddle for approximately 6 months, and it has done wonders to help me progress as a surfer! The coaching is fantastic, fun, focused on safety, and meets everyone at their exact level. The equipment is high quality, too. They're super friendly and easy to coordinate with. I highly recommend them for surfers of all levels, whether just starting out or wanting to progress to intermediate or advanced.
