ABSOLUTE BEST SURF INSTRUCTOR and ABSOLUTE BEST DAY. 5/5 stars does not do it justice. My cheeks are still sore from smiling from the stoke of catching a wave. Cannot recommend enough. The lesson was very beginner friendly and Neil was more than happy to provide any and all assistance both outside and inside the water. The entire process was seamless and we will definitely be back for another round the next time we're in town.
Capitola Surf and Paddle should be your number one choice! Neil is the perfect balance of professional and fun. He’s so knowledgeable about what he does and works great with both kids and adults. I had such a fun time and can’t wait to come back.
Neil is the absolute best! He is so clearly passionate about helping people improve at surfing. He is always in a great mood and stoked to push you into a wave or give you some enthusiastic feedback on how to make your next wave better. He also makes the equipment process a breeze by having all of your rental equipment there at the spot, ready for you to suit up and get in!
I've taken various beginner surf lessons and this one is the best! Excellent professional instruction, a focus on safety and etiquette, and a ton of fun. Can't recommend it enough!
Wrapped up my second surf lesson with Neil and had such a blast! He is super patient and breaks things down really clearly. Loved the feedback I got—can’t wait to come back for more sessions.
