To the Board Members of Capitol HIll Housing: I write to you today to express my extreme disappointment and utter outrage in your decision to deny the application of Paul Shattuck, Tristen Warner and their 4 year old son Finni, to obtain affordable housing in Seattle. I urge you to reconsider the Shattuck/Warner family for housing. To dismiss them due to the loss of a child is reprehensible and you should be doing what you can to help this family find a home if not within your organization than with in another organization. They need a home, help them!
I agree with helping people find affordable housing. I feel like they really miss the mark when a family no longer qualifies after experiencing a loss.
Zero stars, actually. Telling a family who lost a baby hours earlier that they no longer qualify for housing because they are no longer a family of four is deplorable and inhumane.
