Capitol Federal is a great place to do business! Employees are pleasant and really sharp
I personally would not recommend banking at or getting a mortgage through CapFed. They are very nice people BUT: 1) Their mobile banking has a deposit limit so I can’t even use the account unless I go into a branch, and when I asked about it they said that they understood why I might want to bank somewhere else. Not kidding…. 2) During the mortgage closing, we opted not to get the “optional” escrow account where the bank collects even more of your money so THEY can pay your pay property tax and insurance (and make interest o... read more
When I met my husband he had been with Capital Federal for many years. So when we married I became a member of Capitol Federal also. We bought a house and a few car over the next 30+ years. We were very satisfied with all the services they had and we used. Even though my husband is not with us anymore, I have no plans on leaving Capitol Federal Savings!
