The food tasted fine when it FINALLY came out. The response from the manager to my inquiry about the long wait after ordering AND others who were seated AFTER us receiving food before us was "there's a lot of checks coming at us, we have 3 large parties". I was also charged for an item that was supposed to be included.
We stop at capital diner every time we head north. The food is wonderful, the service is great and the prices are very reasonable! This is our first choice for any meal.
For an average week night, and for being 10:40 when we were seated, there is no reason why my meal should have taken 45 minutes to cook, to then be served cold. When I complained to the manager, he responded with "Oh well, better luck next time." Don't worry sir; there won't be a next time. Right across the street there is a Friendly's; a CHAIN RESTAURANT: that has better food and better service than you will ever dream of.
