First time patience appointment 12/10/24 with Dr. Risam. She was horrible. She came in rushing, asking dumb questions, proceeded with the pap smear, then rush me to her office. Once in her office she was more concern about my vaccine status, and sending me to get mammogram than listening to my concerns of why i came in. This Bowie location is very unprofessional, my friend was rushed because her appointment was at the end of the day. The doctors are not thorough and the doctor she saw felt she had a cyst on her ovary and the doctor did not want to do an ultrasound even though she asked for one specifically. Come to find out she had a large mass and a cyst that they were not urgent about. After being with a certain practice for years, I was beginning to feel more like a number. My general practitioner recommended Dr. Silverbrook. It took a while to get in as a new patient, but it was well worth the wait. A Well Woman visit is never fun, but Dr. Silverbrook made me feel so comfortable. She asked all the right questions and actually listened to me. The front staff and nurses are also the perfect mix of friendly and professional. Great first experience, highly recommend!

Recently visited Dr. Porter for my first pap smear, the process was simple and the staff was very attentive to all my needs and concerns. Dr. Porter was very helpful and made me feel heard. Women's care is their specialty for a reason.
