I’ve been a loyal customer for 26 years, and my bank recently froze my primary household account over a generic verification email that was buried among routine notifications. This left my family unable to access our own money for essentials, causing serious disruption and stress. The communication was unclear, the process poorly executed, and their handling completely unacceptable. After this experience, I will be closing all my accounts and will not recommend this bank to anyone.

I visited the branch to cash a check and then deposit it. I clearly explained to the teller, Yury, multiple times that since it was a Capital One check, I wanted it cashed first and then deposited. However, when the transaction was completed, I checked my account, and the funds were not there. I returned to the branch and asked why the deposit wasn’t instant since it was essentially cash.
