The pain management department (doctors) are not compassionate and kind. I was in a MVA 2018 and still on medication. I was called hostile by one female there a couple of years. So I switched back to my regular physician and he recently documented that I was only there for medication. I was referred by Dr. Landon in neurology. I also was told I couldn’t have surgery by my current doctor. I told him I wanted a referral. I finally got one. Dr. Materese and his staff are excellent. From check-in to departure are timely and very efficient. The staff is very pleasant, too. Dr. Materese has a great, professional manner. He doesn't rush you. Explains everything so you understand what is going on. I highly recommend him, and this office.
If you’re looking to become a patient, the doctors are great and knowledgeable. There are 4 doctors and only 1 nurse practitioner is worth seeing. However, if you’re looking for employment stay far away from this place. The current manager, Kate Engle, is absolutely terrible. She doesn’t treat all staff equally and tries to hide it. We’ve had staff work here for 1-2 weeks who’ve quit or walked out during their shift. The turn over rate in her office is astounding. Extremely kind, gentle, and informative practitioners who genuinely care about your recovery and education on your health issues. The front desk is also nice and responsive which is rare.
