We contacted Ken because we could smell gas leaking from our fireplace insert. After a negative experience with another company (the one that installed the unit not CH&S) we called Ken. He was able to find the leak quickly and fixed the issue. Ken was polite and personable. Thank you Ken!
I sent detailed information about what I needed repaired (with pictures) and can't get anyone to call me back. I have spoken with a person once and sent multiple emails. When attempting to call again, I was simply hung up on (guess they recognized my number??). I get that winter is a busy time of year for a business such as this, but not returning calls or messages doesn't bode well for future customers. If you need faster service try someone else.
Very professional-Highly satisfied with service. I had noticed a smell coming from my gas logs. I did a lot of research, and took time to read reviews and complaints. I ultimately selected Ken because he had good reviews that noted he didn't try to 'upsell' the homeowner other services. I called to schedule the maintenance package to be sure the logs were safe to operate. I just had Capital Hearth and Stone service my fireplace. I could not be more pleased with the service. They took their time and explained everything too me. Absolutely ZERO upselling of anything. They are a small shop, so they may not answer the phone if they are on a service call. Email or Text them and they will get back to you. I was able to arrange next day service for my unit.
