I have read so many negative reviews pertaining to Dr. Kalina. How is he still practicing? I believe we should all take our concerns to a higher level. My dad fell victim to his negligence. When investigated he left Staten Island University Hospital. My dad is gone seven years and now I have come to realize I need to follow up and not let this behavior continue. I had a minor mosquito bite that developed into a small, itchy, reddish, bump over six months. I visited a doctor affiliated with Capital Health, Hamilton, who treated it with medication, resulting in a full recovery. However, he claimed it was a sebaceous cyst and insisted on surgery to remove a potential sac inside, arguing that otherwise, the cyst might return. Dr. Kalina and staff please explain why there is no comment on my review. Reading other reviews I see nothing has changed. I hope one day when the roles are reversed you get a dose of what you dished out to others. If I could give zero stars I would, please check out his background before visiting. Awful. Negative 5 if I could. This physician told my father he needed surgery to remove his hemorrhoids. Since having the surgery 3 weeks ago my father now has a Foley catheter, suffered a stroke, infection, and bleeding. Not Once did the office call when my father was hospitalized and not able to go to his follow up appt. He finally saw Dr Kalina on our last trip to the hospital where he came in looked at my dad’s rectal bleeding and said he would be back and never came back of course.
