I’ve been trying to call and make an appointment for literal DAYS. No one answers and no one ever calls back. People who require a rheumatologist have numerous health problems. How would we ever expect to be seen from medical professionals when days go by and phone calls are not answered or received? This is abhorrent.

Tried making an appointment on a Friday at 4 pm, even though they close at 4:30. A very rude receptionist answered and said that she already turned her computer off and therefore can’t make an appointment for me. She said she wouldn’t turn her computer back on and recommended calling back Monday. We will not be making an appointment at this facility for me or my family.

Met with Dr. Patel. He reviewed my bloodwork and squeezed my wrists and hands a couple times. Based off this, he told me there was nothing he could help me with, despite a lifetime of symptoms I presented with increasing severity. He then explained all he can do is prescribe chemo, which I don't need so he can't help. I was appalled by this statement, as he is a rheumatologist and even oncologists can prescribe more than chemo. He did not assess me for anything more than what my bloodwork already ruled out. I was seen for maybe 5 minutes. I had a long list of concerns that were ignored and invalidated. I came for joint pain and yet the doctor never actually physically examined any of my joints. And then the very disappointing appointment ended with “if this blood work comes back normal there is nothing else we can do for you.” And they sent me on my way with no real answers and no follow up appointment until January. Find a different rheumatologist.
