I recently went in, very healthy. I left sicker than I've ever been in my life. Dr. Demeo prescribed a *Sulfur* antibiotic which I didn't want, ask for, or need. I took it because I trusted him and thought there'd be no harm in it. I broke out in huge rashes all over my body, all my skin turned dark red and huge blisters everywhere. It was extremely painful and I'm still in pain 5 weeks later, with more regular dr. appointments to deal with it. I live an hour away and I was given. 7Aam Appt and I was sent emails, texts and phone calls as a reminder of this appointment, only to get to a closed office. My Chart has my appt at 7 am and the office is closed. Great job Cape OB.
Seems like every time I call I just anticipate it not getting answered, or waiting days to get an answer that is more less what I already knew. Usually feeling anxious, rushed or not cared for and unfortunately that seems like common place. When I am finally able to see a doctor they are ok and sort of help, but I wish my issues along with others it seems were treated with more urgency and respect.
Not entirely sure why there are so many critical reviews but I personally haven't eber had an issue with this office. The staff have all been very kind and helpful and NP Graham is actually quite nice and hasn't been judgemental with me, contrary to other reviews here. I think people forget that hospital staff have been dealing with a lot the past few years and they, along with everyone else deserve kindness and patience.
I couldn't speak more highly of Dr. Paul Demeo. He and all the nurses I've encountered here have been nothing but kind, helpful, caring, efficient, and fast. I've had some pretty uncomfortable experiences at other places, but here I always feel so comfortable and exams are quick and far less physically uncomfortable than I've had before.
