We had a wonderful stay with Canyon Services at Hellgate. Our accommodations were wonderful and the staff was exceptionally helpful in helping carry our bags to and from our rental. The Alta shuttle provided easy transport to/ from Alta for skiing and into the evening. All around- an excellent experience and fantastic vacation!
We loved the comfort of Unit H at Hellgate Condos and will always appreciate Ryan (Hellgate Manager). We arrived with 48Inches of snow at Alta. The road was closed and due to avalanche dangers the UDOT has closed Hellgate access to Interlodge. Ryan worked with UDOT and was allowed to jump into his personal vehicle and rescue my daughter and I. We squeeked into our unit and were skiing the powder the next morning. Amazing place to stay when visiting Alta/Snowbird! Room was exactly as pictured online. Kitchen was well equipped. Rental included all the basics (towels, toiletries, etc.) Great views of Snowbird and the canyon. Communication before, during, and after the trip was great. Check in and check out we’re extremely easy/flexible for our schedule.
We stayed at Sugarplum Unit 3 for a week in mid-December. This was "early season" by any definition and of course the lodging team can't be responsible for guaranteeing snowfall. In a perfect world, mid-January to late March is peak season and best snow conditions for skiing. The reservations team were candid, helpful and pleasant to work with throughout. Booked a condo for a group but after learning about the restrictions around parking (limited to one vehicle and no other available parking in the entire city of snowbird) decided to cancel within 48 hrs of booking. Despite this quick turnaround, canyon services refused to return my deposit. While technically within their refund policy, just a complete lack of customer oriented flexibility. Be careful when dealing with this group.
