Canyon Ranch has been my happy place for over 25 years. This last visit will definitely be my last. I waited a week to calm down and write a more balanced review. Unfortunately, a lifetime will not erase the rudeness I experienced upon arrival. The front desk was so rude, my friend (who works in hospitality) asked me what I had done to them?! Disappointed! - I held off on writing this review incase my experience was a one-off, but this appears to be systemic. I suspect financial distress or new management. I came here with my wife who has stayed here several times. She used to speak very highly of Canyon Ranch, but this trip was riddled with errors. She just returned from another try with one of her friends, and it was even worse. Front desk staff during my stay seemed intentionally rude and overtly indifferent. We spent six nights there. The absence of 'junk' food was refreshing. With more than a thuosand employees from servers to drivers to folks who graciously attend to any need, it was a nice break from the rigors of daily life. If one, ahead of the experience, expected a 'type' of guest, they would be wrong. Many were on the high-end of the net worth scale. Attempts to stereotype would fail. Best place for your overall health journey . Always something to do whether you want to go to the spa, work on your athletic performance, or just relax. Never ending choices of healthy food . Here are some things I recommend . 1. Relaxation - floating sound meditation 2. For athletes - strength and endurance clinic 3. Workout - glide and burn. If you want quiet time and just read I found the perfect isolated spot behind the retail store . Not many people know about it always empty .
