Google shows hours of operation, but it is closed down They have a sign up saying it is closed to the public. We drove from Cortez. Kiddo was pretty disappointed. Thanks guys.
We drove down from La Sal while on vacation to find it closed. Looks like it may be under construction? Their website is inaccessible but Google still shows it as open. I had also tried calling before hand to no avail. Super disappointed we couldn’t visit and wish it had been listed somewhere.
The weekend event for the 2023 Eclipse was very well organized, and a delight to attend. Our needs were anticipated, and the staff worked hard to give us a great experience during the eclipse. The center itself is beautiful inside and out, and well designed for events such as this.
Do not miss for education about this area
This is the worst museum to go to for me personally. We tried to go here the first time and we were not allowed to go in because they have a water main break.. at first it was understandable because it was a rough winter. Today we came in because the website says it’s open Tues-Sat 10-4, and I even called to confirm and the voicemail mentioned different hours (Mon-sat 9-6, open on sundays too).
