This apartment complex has seriously declined over the past year, and I am extremely disappointed. When I first moved into Canvas, it was top-notch — clean, well-maintained, and full of beautiful amenities. My first two years here were wonderful. However, this past year has been a complete letdown. Despite a $300/month rent increase, maintenance and upkeep have plummeted. Management is rude and unhelpful. Amenities constantly never work. Currently experiencing a power outage that has lasted the entire day.
The management and customer service of this facility is abysmal. I lived here last year and was hit with a plethora of damage charges for things that came preinstalled with the unit. They were not able to provide proof that there was damage for some of the cases but still pressured me to pay. For example they charged me professional carpet cleaning in my bedroom but didn’t provide any proof that the carpet needed that. In fact I deep cleaned my own carpet before I moved out. gouged me for rent in october and they still have open spaces in august. my advice? live somewhere else or wait for the prices to drop back down once they realize how ridiculous it is to charge college students this much. edit: To absolutely nobodys suprise, I have even more complaints about my experience at one of the most overpriced and poorly managed apartments in Tempe.
