This place is a joke. Three days ago my daughter got a message from a random roommate the Canvas placed with her. The message said hi I’m your roommate and I am bringing my cat. My daughter is unfortunately allergic to cats. I called Monday and they said email this email address she is in charge of placement. I did so and apologized for not saying upfront she is allergic to cats. We never thought they would put a cat in her apartment without first asking if it was ok. I’m normally not the type to write a bad review… but there’s a first time for everything. Canvas was the biggest waste of money in my life. I had so many awful experiences here that I wouldn’t wish my worst enemy to live in this place. Let’s start with the lease. My boyfriend and I signed a $1,600/month contract for a top-floor, 4-bedroom apartment. They promised so much… and delivered almost nothing. Can't wait for my kids to finish the school and move out of that place. The apartments are ok but ridiculously overpriced and the quality of service has been steadily decreasing while the property charges for everything they can possibly get away with. My kids recently transferred units within the property. The transfer fee - $500 each. On top of that, the property double-charged each for annual fees and still has not credited back the extra charges that's been paid over a month ago. Every time I have had to call Canvas, Ryan answers and he is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and extremely kind and helpful. In addition, the times my daughter has called maintenance they were very quick to fix the issues. However, Canvas is expensive and the specials they offer are not offered to the people who signed in October and that is really disappointing since I believe the people who live there now should get some type of 'loyalty discount'.
