In July on a sweltering day, with dust in the air from all the machines moving about, I had the most fun I ever could imagine in the rock quarry area where all the different materials get bought/sold or dumped!!! Sounds silly but it's such a cool place to see all the different building/landscape rock materials there. The best part was when we were dumping 5 truckloads of bricks, high upon a tall hill of debris, the owner offered to give me a lift up to the top, in a giant bucket loader!!!!! Unable to deliver as promised, wasted an entire day of my contractors time and my $$$. Dan the Owner was incredibly rude putting his finger right in my face when I asking him when the next delivery was coming. He refused to give me any estimate and told me to ‘Time him’. Sorry I’m not playing games when I have guys on the clock. Fired him on the spot. Going to Dunning instead. I will say all the other employees were pleasant to deal with but I refuse to support the company in the future and recommend others go elsewhere.
First off, I believe the negative reviews are *not* applicable to Canton Village Construction, and were likely intended for a different company. My experience with John Bahre and his entire team has been 100%, A+, and *****. They are among the top contractors I've ever worked with, and that's saying a lot because I worked corporately in New York for years and dealt with many trades for interior/exterior construction, parking lots and office building renovations.
