Even after years of a relationship with the Foundation you find new ways to help others. Being President of the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club, I needed to find a way to envolve the membership in our fundraising activities. I was granted a scholarship from the Canton Community Foundation this past year which was very beneficial in paying for college. When one thinks of the types of students that earn scholarships, they think of college students about to start their freshman year; that student was me in this case. The Canton Community Foundation has been a wonderful partner in our mission at 88.1 the Park. We were originally looking for a way for our non-profit donors to give to the station, and CCF provided that vehicle. But they have become so much more by causing us to think deeper about how people can support the station.
