I only get shrimp fried rice from ANY Chinese restaurant but the shrimp fried rice at Canton is the ABSOLUTE BEST I've ever had. It's out of the way as far as location but I don't care!!! The rice is seasoned, an abundance in shrimp, egg cooked perfectly (Ordinarily I don't eat egg), and perfect amount of onions EVERY SINGLE TIME. I eat out of my small order 4-5 times. I wish they were open everyday so I can get my shrimp fried rice everyday.
Correction last 4 times. Tried again simply staring at 8:20, open until 9 but no one will answer the phone. Past 3 times have been unable to order. 1st Saturday- randomly closed 2nd Saturday- they “took the phone off the hook” for 2 hours to “catch up on orders”. 3rd Saturday- randomly closed 2nd Best Chinese food in new Bern but n pretty challenging to get any.
Did not have that Chinese taste if u know what I mean.
OMG, not enough positive things to say about Canton. In town and our AirBnB host recommended this place! Truly amazing food. The flavors of all the fresh ingredients truly come through. Huge portions, friendly staff, everything someone could want from a take out Chinese spot! I’ve lived in Miami, Chicago, New York, and Atlanta; this Chinese take out place is better than all of the ones I’ve been to in those cities. The food isn’t greasy like most Chinese takeouts. The value is incredible based on the size of the portion and price. Their Google rating is criminally low.
