I have to agree with everyone that said that the guacamole was pretty amazing. There is nothing better than sitting out on the sunny patio with a bowl of tableside guacamole while watching the cars drive by. Also, the carnitas quesadilla is a great deal. It's probably the most hearty quesadilla that I've ever had, and the carnitas meat is kind of like a Latin version of barbecue. Great experience all around! – My husband and I just had a very positive dining experience at Cantina 1315! I was a little apprehensive after reading all of the "bad" reviews but our experience couldn't have been better. The waiter was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. We wanted something authentic and asked him to choose for us. The food was excellent, the guacamole was the best I have ever had, and the mojito a delight. What a delightful experience. We would recommend it to all.

What's the problem? – After reading reviews we were worried that service would be bad, especially since the parking lot was quite full when we arrived. However, there were absolutely no problems with service for us (perhaps because it was Sunday night.) I can't speak for the authenticity of the food, but it tasted really good, and was out quickly. Decent food, terrible service – I've been to Cantina twice, and both times, the bad service far outweighed the good food. The first time I went with a friend, and we sat outside on the patio. After our meal, we were having a drink when the waiter came up and asked us to leave our table because people were waiting. I was horrified at his rudeness and vowed to never go back. food was too salty, atmosphere is WAY WAY too loud! Forget having a conversation over dinner. Liked the al pastor tacos the first time we visited in december and had an awesome dulce de leche cheesecake, but they no longer have the cheesecake and the overly salty food was terrible. La Paz not too far away is much better on food, ambiance, noise level, and much better priced.

Great Mexican Food but can be very greasy! I dine at the Cantina in Stonecrest at Ballantyne and I love this place! I eat here several times a month. The wait staff is always very friendly and the wait is never as long as they say it is. There is also a great call ahead feature! Only problem is that often times my tacos are extremely greasy. When I get the food to-go it is often to grease soaked to eat by the time I get home.

A co-worker recommended Cantina when I first moved to the area. I trusted his taste and was pleased with the fresh guacamole made table-side. I am hooked on the chicken tostada salad with its intersting mix of flavors and textures. They offer an interesting twist on a familiar cuisine while providing an upbeat environment.

Food is great, but the service is terrible – This is the 3rd time that I have been to Cantina and I finally felt compelled to write a review. My wife loves to go here because of the Guacamole dip, but this time it was unbearable. The service is awful, whether you are waiting in the bar or on your food. It takes a while for the server to come to you and then you wait for an appetizer , but our dinners came out about 5 minutes later so you cannot enjoy the appetizer and my wife's order was wrong.
