Great food; Awful service Been to Cantina 1511 too many times to count, but the last couple of times the service has been awful. Very disappointing.
Wonderful Mexican food Fresh, flavorful Mexican food in a convenient location. Parking can be tricky on busy weekends though. The patio is charming, and the guacamole is wonderful. A great addition to the Central Charlotte restaurant scene!
Great Mexican Food but can be very greasy! I dine at the Cantina in Stonecrest at Ballantyne and I love this place! I eat here several times a month. The wait staff is always very friendly and the wait is never as long as they say it is. There is also a great call ahead feature! Only problem is that often times my tacos are extremely greasy. When I get the food to-go it is often to grease soaked to eat by the time I get home. Try the homemade guacamole!
Cantina Fifteen Eleven Every time the experience is the best. Have been to this restuarant for work as well as pleasure. Each time you are greeted with Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Great dishes to pick from for lunch or dinner.
Excellent Guacamole! The Mexican food is great. It's not tex-mex so don't think it's going to compare to some of the fast food food burritos places around town. This is much better. This restaurant is also a bit upscale so you may prefer to leave the kids at home. People are usually dressed nice and out of for a nice dinner. A great selection of authentic Mexican dishes.PROS: Taste of the food and bar area (Get a margaritte pitcher)CONS: A little expensive and greasy (authentic mexican is a little greasy)
Should be better I should say upfront that I have high expectations of Mexican food, but that often the simplest taqueria meets them. That being said: The good: Cantina is a nice occasion spot to meet friends for a drink. Excellent Guac! I've been to this restaurant too many times to count. Absolutely love it. Great food and margaritas every time. The guacamole they make at your table is excellent. It's a large restaurant and can very nicely accommodate large parties. They also have an outside dining area with music which is nice on a warm summer night.
Cantina 1511 is delicious! Although a little pricy for Mexican, the meals are excellent. The food is fresh and the combinations of ingredients mesh together nicely. This is not your average Mexican food since each meal has a unique spin. We enjoy eating here and would definitely recommend it.
Love this place! – I had my first date with my husband here and we go back for dinner all the time because the food is so good! Almost every time we come we get the crab quesadilla and barbacoa and share because both are wonderful. This is a little more upscale for Mexican and is a go to place for us when we have people in town and want to go to dinner. It does get busy so there may be a wait but, there is a good bar area so just get a margarita and wait for your table because the food is well worth it!
