Really impressed with these vets. They charge a lot, but they're very thorough and knowledgeable. Last time I took my old cat to the vet as she wasn't eating or drinking and hiding in the wardrobe. The vet couldn't find anything clinically wrong with her and diagnosed her with being just upset as a strange cat had come through her cat flap. Was only charged $60 for the consult and the vet even phoned a couple of days later to follow up. Turns out my cat was only upset and she's now getting over her home invasion.

Qoute was $170 to clip my dogs toe nails, that was with sedative as she didnt like her feet touched. Bill was $1500. They rang me during the process and ask me if i wanted to take of 3 of her toe nails, i ask, what the best thing would be for my girl, they said take them off, they never discussed the price. Got the bill, unbeliable. The medication they recomended had a 300% mark up. Sorry just over being ripped of.
Exorbitant unnecessary test fees contributing to total over $600 to put our family cat down. Tests we DIDN'T need, imposed by vet insisting tests required before he accepted our beloved emaciated family pet needed to be put down as we'd requested. We'd lived with our beautiful girl for 8 years at this point, and knew how sick she'd become. Since found out from Ashburton community, you don't get treated like this elsewhere in town. Shame this incredibly sad day turned into a money raking event for a distressed pet family.
