Canter Inn is a family favorite and we feel lucky we live right in town so we can visit often. I just tried the Fish Fry and it was so good. The potatoes were perfectly cooked, the fish was flaky and breading was delicious! The portion size was amazing--I was even willing to share a bit with my husband. A wonderful addition to the menu and appreciate Canter always trying new things for locals. Another good reason to stop in again.
Refreshing, fine dining in New Glarus. Chef has taken a creative approach to building taste profiles that are surprising and delightful. Comfortable environment allowing dining privacy without isolation. Our table enjoyed the beef, pork, pasta and fish. All were beautifully presented in perfect proportions. Service was attentive with knowledgeable staff. Great job Team Canter.
What a wonderful time we had at Canter Inn with 10 friends from Venice, Fl area. The restaurant is beautifully updated, the chefs truly outstanding. Go - you will be amazed with the drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts!
One of my favorite restaurants in the greater Madison area. Frequent new additions to the menu makes it worth going back all the time. I miss their skate wing schnitzel but love the new shrimp ceviche. I visit about twice a month and I've never had anything short of a great meal here. Everything is always perfectly cooked.
