I have nothing but positive things to say about Canmore Counselling. I inquired about getting set up with a counsellor via email and was responded to very quickly and given some options. Kelsey has been a really great match for me and has been incredibly kind, compassionate and accommodating throughout my therapy journey.

Their ''textbook'' Decolonizing Health, Healing, and Care: Embodying Culturally Responsive and Socially Just Counselling presents itself as an academic text. It is not. In practice, it functions as a self-promotional anthology for members of the Canmore Counselling Wellness Collective, wrapped in moral posturing and unsubstantiated spiritual ideology. People who are completely full of themselves and push their agenda through shame rather than insight. They claim to be “healers,” yet bring nothing genuinely new, constructive, or grounding to your life. No matter where you stand, you are wrong and they are right. It feels less like wisdom and more like narcissism dressed up as spirituality. The ways of the wise are diluted, commercialized, and ultimately used as a tool for profit rather than growth. Disappointing and manipulative.

What Canmore Counselling & Trauma-Informed Yoga Psychology School offers is a distorted, agenda-driven rebranding of yoga that strips it of depth, balance, and integrity, then repackages it to serve their own ideological narrative. Despite loudly professing inclusivity, safety, and open dialogue, dissent is not tolerated. The so-called “sacred space agreement” exists only as a performance—if you actually voice a differing pers... read more

Canmore Counselling & Trauma-Informed Yoga Psychology School is not real yoga teacher training. It ignores the roots of yoga and teaches very little of it. What they promise and what actually happens are completely different. They say it is a safe space, but only if you agree with everything. Question or speak honestly, and you are criticized and made to feel unwelcome. Open discussion is not allowed. I do not recommend this place at all. Don’t waste your time or money. The leaders use guilt and pressure instead of care, cal... read more
