Simple, yet ample access for canoes and kayaks. Visited Cane Bayou during a cold January day and still spotted a lot of wildlife. Pelicans, egret, deer, bald eagles, muskrat, red winged black birds, thousands of tree swallows, and cormorants.
As far as I know this is part of Fontainebleau State Park it's more of a canoe and kayak launch looks like it would be pretty easy to launch a canoe or kayak was able to do some fishing here they do have a restroom it's one of them portable restroom hey but when you on fluid medicine like I am it's always nice to have somewhere to go
Easy paddle to Lake Ponchartrain. Herons, egrets, ducks, turtles, snakes typical of the Bayou. Some gators. Clear water. Fishing. About an hour each way. Park fee to launch.
