Candlewood Veterinary – disrespectful staff, mocked and laughed at trying to obtain a referral for behavior therapy, saying this was against Dr. White's license. As a paying customer, I go to treatment, not to argue. The teeth cleaning was estimated at about $1400 per dog, with me having to request at-home care treatment personally. Then, they automatically took my pets back and drew their blood with a 3-month time limit on scheduling before informing me about the time limit.
Best Vet, Best Prices!! Dr. Lyons is the best!! When searching for a vet in Manhattan, I called for prices and saw the reviews on this site for CVC. Candlewood had the BEST prices and the BEST reviews, so why wouldn't I go with them? Dr Lyons and his staff are fantastic! They greet my pets when we come in the door like they're old friends, asking how they've been and how doggie classes are going. They even know what meds we get before looking it up on the computer! Veterinary services I have lived in Manhattan for five years and have tried almost every vet in town for my four dogs and one cat. John Lyons goes above and beyond any other vet I have ever been to. He is extremely competent in animal medicine,but what sets him apart is his compassion and wonderful bedside manner. He really cares!
Takes the time.. Dr. Lyons not only took great care of our pets, he really took the time to explain things to us and talk to us about them. He loved to visit with us and that really makes a big difference to us! He obviously likes what he does.
Best of the Best Dr. Lyon's is truly the best of the best. I had an emergency with my 5 month old Lab Riley right at 5:00 p.m. and when I called they said bring her in right away. I took her in and they worked on her till a little after 7:00 that night. He called and explained everything fully and reassured she was going to be ok. He stayed there all night with her to make sure she didn't have any problems and I got her back the next morning. Fabulous Veterinarian The best veterinarian by far we have ever taken our animals to. Dr. Lyon is fabulous with our dogs and always spends a great deal of time talking to us about our pet concerns and getting to know us.
