Our first impression of our room was a toilet bowl covered in black hair. We called down to the front desk and someone came up immediately and cleaned the bathroom. We also noticed leftover food on the appliance handles and kitchen floor, but we’re not big complainers so we cleaned that ourselves. Unfortunately the next morning when I went to use a clean bath towel, I was gifted the surprise of my “fresh” folded towel covered in more black hair. We chose to stay at Candlewood Suutes this time in Dothan, AL during a very difficult time dealing with a family death recently. We chose to stay at Candlewood Suites after a previous hotel chain during this very difficult time gave us a horrible experience for a 2 night stay while while dealing with coming to town to due to a death in our family. We checked in at this hotel after driving over 6 hours due to a family emergency. After checking in and sleeping a couple hours we were awakened by a dog barking in the next room. The walls are apparently so thin it sounded like the dog was in our room. After speaking with housekeeping they stated the dog wasn’t even registered to stay there. The dog barked off and in all day!
