Candlewood Suites Cape Girardeau, an IHG Hotel

I booked a room using my cash app card .they took the money. When I get there they tell me they don't except cash app cards or accept reservations from locals in 35 mi radius. Now the hotel can't verify why they cancel my reservation. Now the booking site I used won't give me a refund. I paid money to stay because of the indoor pool, maybe you shouldn't use those booking sites or maybe there needs to be more communication

We had a room booked for the 21st of March with Candlewood suites weeks in advance. We stopped in around 1pm to try and see if we could check in early. They informed us that wasn’t possible check in wasn’t until after 3pm. We had things to do and some of the parties in our group were telling us that Candlewood was canceling rooms (AT CHECK IN TIME). The manager was quite rude and refused to let us stay there after my mom had already paid! I live in IL right now, which is only about 35mins away from Candlewood. I work in Cape. Mother son night was the 13th. It was from six till nine pm. I don't do well driving at night and I had to work the next day at seven so I decided to get a room. Did it online a week ago, maybe two.
