Not the worst, but definitely recommend going somewhere else. I chose this location as it was the most affordable near Salem city center, and had a full suite, which was nice. We got in late, and the overnight employee was kind to us, and accommodating. The laundry service was a nice touch, there’s a gym, but it’s pretty small and very bare bones. Very overpriced for very poor experience. There were people speaking loudly outside my room at a table set up by the hotel until 4 AM. Also there was a green blinking light on the ceiling that illuminated the room all night, not allowing for any darkness. When we asked them to remedy the situation, we were not offered any solutions or compromise.
Stinky! The only reason I took off a star.The smell was horrendous.I love food and I love eating food but , the smell was so strong and pungent,(I don't know if it was indian food or spanish which I love both of these foods. ).The stench was HORRIFIC in the hallways.It smelled like FOOD and MOLDY, WET DAMPNESS, the rooms were fine, but the hallways reeked RUN RUN. . 🤢🤢🤢
We have had an excellent experience, we will be back! The suite was very clean, a lot of room to move around, the bed in the bedroom and pillows were excellent! The pullout couch is to be expected a six mattress not the most comfortable but it was do able for a few nights for a young adult. Having the kitchen was a game changer for our short trip, I don't think I'll ever get a hotel without one again for short trips. It was extremely nice to have snacks and drinks at our finger tips.
