I will be honest I have never wrote a bad review before. However, considering our stay, I felt the need. We planned a last minute trip to South Carolina for the weekend. For the cost of the stay you would have thought the hotel would have been decent. The main problem was when my 2 children (9 and 11) took the elevator and got STUCK in it. Thankfully they were stuck with a kind, older gentleman who worked there, who I am grateful for. I have stayed at this location a few times, I have had the honor of being hosted with great customer service. My visit this time 7/23/2025 - 7/ 27/25 has been exceptional. I want to give a personal shout out to Laurie. She is so friendly, personable, and super apologetic in the sense of an event. The water was brown and the pressure was terrible. The hotel reeked of smoke and animals. It's tucked off in a one-way in-and-out area. People are smoking right at the door even though it says no smoking.
They had problems with the ac unit. Had fans in the hallways. Also, there were buckets in front of our room door catching the water leaking.
Shady place. Booked 2 nights with queen beds for my wife and kids. Beds were not Queen beds but smaller full beds. Had screen shots of the booking. Was told at the front, they dont have queen beds in the hotel and it was an issue with the site, not them. Asked to cancel with refund as the room was not correct but was only refunded 1 day because we went into the room. They told the booking company the money held was their cancelation fee.
