First, cork tiles are precisely made. But, the cork veneer (what you actually see) is super thin, about the thickness of 2 sheets of regular weight paper. And, although most cork composites (mixed with rubber) are supposed to bounce back and not retain dents or marks, theirs does not bounce back - once an impression is made it's there forever. And, their coating is soluble in just about everything, don't dare spill anything on it, including water - it absolutely must be coated with a good polymer floor finish.
