The hematologist failed to review my chart prior to the appointment and dismissed clear abnormalities in my blood work. I was sent home with a vague follow-up plan, despite results indicating the need for further care. I am seeking another hematologist for a more thorough evaluation

I am grateful to another reviewer that posted an experience similiar to mine at COH and went to MD Anderson. There are issues in timely scheduing of surgery, care coordination is disorganized, communication was poor around significant concerns and initially there were numerous COH staff calling with push back about getting records. My husband was sent to City of Hope after his current oncologist discovered reoccurring cancer. This was the highest quality medical experience and service we have ever received. We were blown away with how attentive and organized many of the team members are at City of Hope. Their portal is easy to navigate and user-friendly compared to most portals doctors offices and hospitals use. They were often one step ahead of us with communication or scheduling. Everyone is very friendly and understanding. All appointments have been in this one location and the doctors work together for best results. I would recommend to anyone who is helping a family member make the decision on a location. Takes so much stress off to be able to do it all in one location. Including urgent care 24hrs a day. Very helpful.

The highest caliber professionals and staff you could hope to encounter. Everyone here — from security to the medical director — is humble, compassionate, and genuinely committed to helping patients.
