My mother received her cancer diagnosis back in August of 2020. My grandmother and I agreed for her to come here since we had seen all the wonderful commercials about people coming out in remission. WHAT A JOKE! My grandmother came with my mother for her appointments, which were 2 hour flights, because I was only 17 years old. I am so grateful to have had Dr. Amy Y. Chen perform my surgery. Dr. Chen and her team at City of Hope were incredible - caring, thoughtful, and always concerned about my well-being before, during, and after the surgery. Nurse Tushima was amazing too - she followed up with constant care and concern after the surgery to make sure I was recovering and to let me know they were there if I needed anything. If you need surgery, Dr. Amy Chen and her team are heaven sent. So Thankful .
