They charged my insurance almost $2000.00 for a 30 minute office visit and blood work. Just basic blood work nothing specialized. The oncologist did not review my blood work with me. I had other blood work added so I would not have to be poked twice. They never faxed my blood work results to the ordering provider. Abnormal finding. No one called. Not PCP, not nurse. My mom has been seeing doctors here for a long time after a lung cancer diagnosis in 2010. The level of care has always been wonderful, until now. No one ever expects to be told out of the clear blue by a doctor that had just perfomed surgery on you that a biopsy was done and you have agressive cancer. At that moment the world stops turning your mind struggles to understand what the doctor has just told you! That's how it happened for me anyway.
