Shocking exp :not happy, went to ED with severe lower back pain for last 3 days, explained to DR in ED about the amout and types of pain medication had for last 2 days, IM pain relief was given howvwer did not help at all. Discharged with simple analgesia for 5 days and see gp for physio. in the mean time still experiencing excruating pain, i was surprised how the hospital can discharge patient with excuating pain...
We had an outstanding experience at the Canberra Hospital Emergency Department. When we checked the wait times, there were 22 people waiting and an estimated 6-hour wait, so we were prepared for a long stay. However, we were incredibly fortunate to be in and out in under an hour. We had seen the GP before and also had our x-rays completed. The whole process was seamless — truly a well-oiled machine.
