I had a very good first experience last Friday when I needed to attend the Canberra Emergency Department with lower abdominal pain. I walked in at 1030am and was attended to immediately. The staff were very polite and professional as they worked to identify the cause and get my pain under control. Following a few tests and scans nothing obvious or sinister was found. When my pain was finally brought under control I was allowed to go home at 7pm. Well done. Thankyou.
A special thank you to Danealle Gilfillan, the physio specialist who saw me at Canberra Hospital Emergency Department after a foot injury. What stood out was that she took my pain seriously. When my symptoms didn’t fully match the initial findings, she proactively sought advice from other staff and explored other possible causes rather than dismissing my concerns. Paediatrics ED are amazing every time iv come in, the staff are lovely and make me feel much more at ease when I’m there, they have taken such great care when it comes to my twins being sick. Extremely thankful and lucky to have such incredible staff
