I've had 4 surgeries here in the last 12 months...For a new hospital, it's run like a highschool. The nurses don't pay attention, get upset when the students ask legitimate questions and don't know what their patients have had done. Many times I was told I had a different surgery to what I actually had (I had a clear scar so wasn't hard to tell). Nurses have a handover before shift, but don't seem to talk about their patients, just like a catch-up before class starts.... and then ask the patient what's going on. There is a v... read more

Attended ED with my son’s girlfriend last night. Whilst the 5 hour wait time was frustrating the care given by our nurse, Lois, over the next 3 hours was amazing. Not only was her bedside manner professional and friendly she went above and beyond to make me more comfortable. 5 stars for Lois 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I recently suffered a blackout and fell sustaining a head injury. I was transferred from rural NSW to Canberra Hospital. The staff in emergency were outstanding. However, once I got on to the ward it was another story. I was accused of being an alcoholic because I had a couple of drinks the same day. I had to literally fight to get food and staff wanted to stuff Valium down my throat because they were under the impression I was detoxing.
