Dealing with this insurance company has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. They denied a clear, straightforward claim that was 100% caused by their insured and they did so while ignoring evidence, common sense, and basic responsibility. Their adjuster, Lacey Hullett, was consistently dismissive, unhelpful, and acted more like an obstacle than someone handling a legitimate claim. Could not be more disappointed with how Canal has handled the cancellation of my policy for my commercial trucking business. We replaced the policy with 40 days remaining due to a horrible relationship with our agent who was also failing to service our account in a timely manner. It pains me to even give this company 1 star. THEY DO NOT DO BUSINESS THE RIGHT WAY. My work vehicle was backed into causing thousands of dollars in damage to the hood, front bumper, and surrounding area. It was undisputed zero fault of my company/employee. The vehicle needs to be completely rewrapped, otherwise it would not match and would make my vehicle look like trash. I been with them for 1 year with three trucks I paid around $57,000 to them for a whole year, but one claim happened to us which was not our fault it was $15,000 dollars but they refused to pay the claim, the broker was holding our three previous loads once canal know that the broker was holding our money they denied to pay for us the claim , I do not really recommend this insurance to any carriers they are really trash and treat you. All they want is to take your money and not cover you once a claim happens to you. Trash!!
